Growing up with toxic parents I never really had the opportunity to ask my mom about hair textures and what was good for my hair. Looking back now I don’t think she even knew what was good for her hair. She constantly applied heat to it and used damaging hair glues. I moved out at 18 realizing that I didn’t know how to take care of my hair myself nor did I know what texture my hair was. In my hair chronicles I’ve managed to learn a lot throughout the two years I’ve lived without my parents. But it all boils down to your wash day and the products that you use.
